 Has Anyone Noticed This? |

In Saw 1, as Amanda approaches the body during her trap scene, there is writing on the wall behind her.
It reads: "If you try to keep your life to yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life to me, you will find true life."
Could this have been foreshadowing? Does it have another meaning?

I'm not sure, I'm positive!
It's a little hard to read. I noticed it a few days ago when I went to my friend's house with my DVD so he could watch it for the first time. He had a huge flat-screen TV.

You can see it before she bends down to lift up the shirt. It's a low-angle shot as she's walking around the body. She crosses it while moving left on screen. You can see the message clearly at 26 MIN. : 37 SEC., on the Uncut version. Not sure if the version matters, because the shot should still be in the normal version. It's in faint, white writing, almost like chalk.
Look very closely on the right side of the screen, it's extremely easy to miss.

Saw it too. Good eye Doctor Gordon. I wonder if Jigsaw left other messages in white chalk or another colour for other victims that we have not noticed yet.

I can't believe that no one, or myself for the matter, ever noticed it. It'll be interesting if it is pointed out in Saw 4 or a future movie.

hey guys yea i found it read it and first thing it brought back to me is SAW III when john is basically getting Amanda to agree on what he is saying :
he tells Amanda he life has just begun she will give every thing to him every cell in here body her scars are from another life which they now leave behind once she walks down that corridor there is no turning back and she has understand and start with an envelope that he hands her
connection?what do you think guys?i love when the SAW movies lace connections like that its like a subliminal note to her

hmm there's alot to the jigsaw and amanda relationship but we really never got to see it

I believe this statement was John offering her a meaning in life or in other words, recruiting her.
