WANTED: Rare and International SAW posters, photos included |
|
Hey everyone,
I am a big SAW fan and am trying to collect as many different SAW posters as I can.
I am looking for any rare and international SAW posters. (Posters in different languages or with different cover art than the standard US posters).
I have around 25 different SAW posters in my collection and am always looking for more.
I am mainly interested in posters from the first SAW film, however I do buy the occasional sequel poster.
In addition to International posters I am also looking for the original Blood Drive poster from the first SAW (With the nurse and the red cross)
If anyone out there has any rare or international SAW posters for sale please send me a message. I am willing to pay cash or trade for posters as I have a few doubles.
I can post a list and some photos if anyone would like to see my current collection. (Including posters from the US, UK, Korea, Japan, Australia, Germany, France, Israel, Brazil, Argentina and more.
Thanks,

Thanks for the replys Jigsy and D_R_M_F_92,
I'll take some pics and get them up as soon as possible.
D_R_M_F_92,
I noticed you are located in Puerto Rico. Could you tell me what the posters are like there? Are they the same as the US, or different?

Hey everyone,
Before I share my collection I feel I should explain why I love the SAW series so much.
Why do I have this collection you may ask...
I attended the World Premiere of SAW at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival Midnight Madness program and that is how this obsession began.
SAW was my very FIRST Midnight Madness experience and I was totally blown away by the film, the energy of the MM audience, and how cool and down to earth the directors were, who came out to hang out after the screening and talk with everyone.
(Ever since this screening I have been hooked on SAW and also Midnight Madness)
(For anyone that hasn't been to the Midnight Madness at the Toronto International film festival I would highly reccomend it. The variety of films are fantastic, and the energy and excitement of the crowd is incredible. If you ever get the chance to attend a screening I would highly reccomend it.)
I instantly became a huge fan of SAW and soon after found myself collecting any posters for the film I could find. Here is my collection so far.
Most of these posters are full size original 27x40 movie posters (27x40 movie posters are intended for theatrical display and are often double sided so they can be backlit on a marquee.)
27x40 are larger than most reprints which are generally 24x36. Originals tend to sell for more since they can be dated to the original release date, while reprint posters cannot.
This basically means I'll have no wallspace when I finish hanging them...lol.
A big thanks to all of the people who I have met over the years involved in the series, everyone has been super cool and it has been great to personally thank so many of them that I feel have helped make a film that will have an everlasting effect on the Horror genre.
I wish these people continued success with their career and I look forward to seeing their future projects both in and outside the horror genre.
I am always looking for more SAW posters, especially International ones with different artwork or other languages.
While I prefer SAW 1 posters, I do pick up the occasional sequel poster aswell.
If anyone knows of any SAW 1 posters I don't have please let me know, and if you have any questions about my collection feel free to ask.

SAW 2 - Advance "Severed Fingers poster.

A much tighter cropped version was later released not showing the cut off ends of the fingers.

SAW 2 - German poster

Signed in person by:
Noam Jenkins - Michael
SAW 2 - Advance sales poster.
This was one of the first images used to promote SAW 2 many months prior to its release.
SAW 2 - US theatrical poster
SAW 3 - US Theatrical "mouth" poster
SAW 3 - Extremely RARE Blood poster, mixed with the Blood of Tobin Bell.
This poster was ONLY sold on-line and sold out extremely quick.
Every year SAW has an annual Blood drive to get people to donate blood and the crazy team over at Lionsgate decided to use that as an excellent way to market SAW 3.
A vial of blood from Saw star Tobin Bell -- who plays the villain Jigsaw -- was mixed with red ink and used in the printing of this limited edition poster.
This poster was limited to around 1,000 prints, which sold for $20 with 100% of the proceeds donated to the American RED Cross.
I purchased a few of these posters, and had this one signed by the entire cast from the SAW series.
I have talked to many fans who actually had their posters damaged in shipping, as they were packaged very poorly...so I consider myself lucky that all of mine survived.
Signed in person by:
Shawnee Smith - Amanda
Tobin Bell - Jigsaw
Tim Burd - Obi
Noam Jenkins - Michael
Tony Nappo - Gus
Leigh Whannell - Adam
Barry Flatman - Judge Halden
J. LaRose - Troy
Debra Lynn McCabe - Danica
SAW 3 - US Advance "Teeth" poster

Leigh Whannell - Adam
Barry Flatman - Judge Halden
J LaRose - Troy
Debra McCabe - Danica
SAW 3 - German poster
featuring the chain man J LaRose
SAW 4 - US Advanced poster
This poster was pulled by the MPAA and a cropped version was later released not showing the head was clearly severed.
SAW 5 - US Advance poster
Currently in the mail, I will post a better image when my copy arrives.
Well thats pretty much my collection for now, I have a few others but the difference are very minor (Canadian posters have Maple releasing instead of Lionsgate)
I hope you all enjoyed checking out my collection, and if anyone has any International SAW posters for sale, or the original Blood Driver poster please let me know.
Any comments or questions you may have are welcome.

Thanks Jigsy,
I'm glad you enjoyed them. I have way too many, so most of them are kept rolled at the moment, although I do plan on having a SAW room eventually and framing them.
I am a big fan of collecting signed horror movie posters, so I have quite a few pieces in my collection. (Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm street, Hellraiser, Dawn of the Dead, Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre....the list goes on and on, all signed by various cast members, so its hard to pick a favourite.
SAW is the only film that I collect all of the international versions though.
