Did you.......................... |
|
What is the common thread throughout this entire movie?
What can we see clearly ties them all together?
I will tell you what it is.
It is the same thing that we see every day of our own world.
Each and every day we see it on the news.
Read it in the papers.
Hear it on the radio.
But just as with everything else in the world we think how horrible that was but we thank God it did not happen to me.
Then we get on with our lives.
We want something done about it but are unwilling to act.
We are weak, self minded, pathetic, irresponsible, detestable creatures.
We seek more and more each day and are willing to give up that which we vowed NEVER to turn our backs on.
And yet we do, Every ** day.
And then we have the GALL to consider ourselves an intelligent race!
What am I talking about?
Did you give your child a kiss tonight before they went to bed?????????????

yeah i agree that neglect of a wive/husband and/or child seems to be the common theme of all the movies.
saw 1: Dr. Gordon cheats on his wive.
saw 2: Detective Matthews neglects his son
saw 3: Jeff neglects his wive and daughter, Lynn cheats on Jeff
saw 4: Riggs neglects his wive.

by jigsaw loosing his child in the beginning we see that there deffinately is a trend of the types of victims jigsaw chooses. ... they all have to do with family issues and cherishing family which these few characters were unable to do...so in that case they are in fact...put to the test

Wow, that is true. I always thought it was tied to their own lives. Like if they were a drug addict, rapist, ect. But now the family issues do make more since.
So...does this mean that we will find out about Hoffmans family in V ? XD

Yep, about 99% of Jigsaw's subjects are those who have it all - family who love them, education, etc.. - but take their blessings for granted, who do not appreciate the life they have been given. Those who choose to spend the remaining time that THEY have, abusing the system, neglecting those that should be most precious, abusing what they have been given (health, intelligence, resourcefulness and the support of others)

Of course.. LADY.. sorry Lady-J.
In England though we call both men and women 'guys' its just a term to phrase the person, only in a friendly manner

We do that in America too. I only brought it up because lady is in her name.

dont forget about SAW V's theme which would be: hmmmm either. play by the rules, or teamwork (5 will become 1) possibly either, not sure, any thoughts?

I disagree, I don't believe this is the theme of the movies. The family is involved in the storyline. But the neglect is just a small part of it.
